Finding nature in the industrial urban landscape

When and why do I say no?
March 14, 2025Just wrapping up a successful project and reflecting on what makes success…
I have been working with a new partnership for a few months, putting together an evaluation framework for them that they can use to monitor their impact and ensure a consistent approach across various partners. It’s been a challenging project in a good way – there often hasn’t been an obvious answer and it has made me really think about how to present the framework for them. I like projects that make me think and I like working with clients who raise questions, challenge me constructively and keep pushing to get a final document that will really work for them.
Yesterday I had the final meeting to tie up loose ends before I hand everything over to them. The feedback from the client was brilliant – they told me how helpful it has been to have someone new pick up all their work and make sense of it, compiling it into a straightforward and accessible summary. They said they keep picking it up to look at it again because they are really pleased with it.
Getting this kind of feedback on a Friday afternoon makes it all worthwhile!
