Waking up after the #GE2017
June 9, 2017Evaluating Evaluation
July 14, 2017The Natural Neighbours project will put greenspace back at the heart of communities. This is a brilliant project that I worked on last year with Sheffield & Rotherham Wildlife Trust. I am delighted to say that it has just received £514,000 funding from Big Lottery Fund, Reaching Communities programme.
Cllr Taiba Yasseen, Rotherham Council’s Cabinet Member for Neighbourhood Working and Cultural Services, said, “This is wonderful news for Rotherham’s green spaces and the people who use them. It comes at a time when the Council is keen to explore innovative approaches to green space management. Sheffield and Rotherham Wildlife Trust are able to bring considerable experience of community engagement to connect people with nature, and the Council is delighted to be working in partnership with them on this exciting project.”
Above all, this project is about putting greenspace back at the heart of communities so that everybody can use and enjoy them safely.
