Reasons to Walk
March 8, 2017Waking up after the #GE2017
June 9, 2017#fundraisingsuccess! I’ve written before about how the amount of money raised is not the only measure of success in fundraising and how the small grants are as important (and sometimes even more life changing) than the large ones. But…
Last week I heard that another one of my bids has been successful (can’t say any more than that at this stage) and this brings the total I have raised since being freelance to £6 million. That is £6 million helping more people to engage with nature, protecting heritage and trying to give underprivileged people the same chances as others.
I hate blowing my own trumpet but, in this instance, I can’t resist shouting about it. That’s an average of £1 million a year secured in grants which have ranged from >£1 million to just a few hundred. Not bad for a part-time working mum juggling family and real-life alongside the fundraising!
